|Palenque Glyph and the Sacred Tiger by Dale Nichols, Museum of Nebraska Art, Kearney|
Part of the mission of Prairie Art Brothers involves compensating writers for their time and talents. As much as plumbers or stock brokers or retail clerks expect payment for their time and skills, artists should be compensated as well.
We established Prairie Art Brothers as a non-profit, all-volunteer organization in October of 2016 with a generous and anonymous $2,500 grant that allowed us to start our Front Porch Reading Series. We also raised an additional $350 during Give Where You Live in December of 2016, the annual fundraising event presented by Kearney Area Community Foundation.
You can help us promote poetry and writing in central Nebraska by donating to Prairie Art Brothers through Kearney Area Community Foundation. You can reach the foundation on line or by calling (308) 237-3114 during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. All of the money we raise goes towards paying for writers, their travel expenses and the expenses of presenting our reading series.

Thanks for your consideration in making a donation to Prairie Art Brothers.
